This training program offers comprehensive coverage of OSHA’s regulation and all other applicable training standards. In our classroom presentation, students will learn from our experienced instructors using projectors, (2) 42” LCD TV’s, and student manuals. Students keep manuals and all hand-outs to use as a future reference. Students will leave with confidence and knowledge of the Permit-Required Confined Space Standard.
In our state-of- the-art training facility, students will perform multiple hands-on drills that will present them with techniques and skills necessary to efficiently and proficiently perform their duties as a confined space worker. Our Indoor Confined Space Jungle Gym© offers dozens of horizontal and vertical confined spaces. Included are: a 3-story vertical space set up with a Tri-pod, winch and self-retracting lifeline; a 6’ vertical space with a Davit Arm, ladder and SRL; a vertical 8’ space using the overhead beam as an anchor point and multiple horizontal spaces simulating side entries, ovens and even slanted ductwork.
Successful completion of a written exam and practical exercises is required for certification.
Training Includes:
- OSHA Regulation 29 CFR 1910.146 Permit-Required Confined Spaces
- Recognizing and identifying Permit-Required Confined Spaces (PRCS)
- Ability to identify existing and potential hazards that may occur in the space
- Completion and understanding of Entry Permits
- Demonstration and usage of atmospheric monitoring equipment
- Usage of various equipment and methods necessary to set up a safe worksite
- Demonstrating the purpose of ventilation
- Perform both vertical and horizontal entry and exits
